Killer tornadoes sweep into Oklahoma

People have died in an Oklahoma storm, in which a tornado touched down.

A father and two children from the town of Woodward in Oklahoma died as they huddled in their trailer.

Two other people from the same town also died as they were travelling in a car.

Over 30 people from Woodward have been treated for injuries stemming from the tornadoes, many of which hit in the middle of the night.

On Sunday Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin declared a state of emergency for 12 counties, including Woodward.

A string of tornadoes, which tore through parts of Oklahoma and the Midwest on Sunday marked the beginning of terrible weather.

More dangerous conditions were forecast for Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
